Aye, the barber is civilian and it costs you $$. There's even a civvie laundry facility in CTC now.

Best thing is to get the barber to cut your hair, because he knows how to do it. Some lads in my troop got stern words said to them because they decided to cut their hair too short or messed it up by cutting it themselves.

Is the closest airport Exeter?
Would it have flights from Germany coming in?
Would trooping flights go to Exeter?
If not , what is the nearest airport that could be available?

Exeter does not have flights to/from Germany, nor does Southampton, as far as I can see from a quick glance at their websites. Bristol has scheduled flights from Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin, so I think that's the closest one. There is a direct train from Bristol to Exeter which runs regularly and takes around 1hr 20min, then you'd just have to hop on the short hourly train from there to CTC.
