Big Bart, I notice that on the 3rd August you said at the bottom of your post "No you left me to do it for you" in reply of defending the country.
Now are you in the Army and have you at any time defended it ???

Tab, when I said "you left me to do it for you" I was referring to when he said he didn't want to get into a political debate. He had earlier said something about the monarchy and someone had a go at him. So I argued his point a bit. Read the earlier posts and you'll see what I mean. No I've never defended my country, I don't lie about myself. Sorry if it came accross that way.

I personally will be honored just to be let in The Queens Forces. I also, will personally swear to the crown and God. Im a strong believer in both the Crown and God.

Bigbart,

My Great Grandfather himself became a socialist for a slight time after serving 2 FULL years on the front lines of WWI and earning two military crosses. He was mad at what happened, and dismayed at the amount of life lost by utter stupidity and arrogance. He later returned to his Christian roots.

But you have to admit that out of all of military history, WWI, was an anomally, and could possibly drive the most sane man mad, as i imagine it did. So it could be taken that they weren't exactly thinking clearly when some of them renounced the crown.

Can you think of a war that hasn't drove sane men mad?
I've never fought in a war, so I really know sod all apart from things I've seen on telly and read about. Being there i'm sure is a different matter. But I do know if I was in a war zone I wouldn't be singing "god save the king" while the King was back at the palace sipping tea.
You might disagree, I respect that. But please don't drag me into another debate about the crown... :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

alright i won't,

But... :P :P :P

All i know is i got a charge of displaced colonial patriotism when i was in the Stadium of Light singing God Save the Queen.

To me, that British personality of aggression and God/Crown fearing patriotism is what separates you from the the Euroscum.

But alas, it is a democracy.

Last time I got into this debate was with dootybooty on another thread. He said something like, I might change my mind when I've served for a few years and I see what an influence they are on our forces. And my views might change one day, I try to keep an open mind.
But I don't want to explain my reasons... again... for my views on the Monarchy. So I'll say no more on the subject.
