10 Mile Endurance March (Para)
Glad to see you didn't take it the wrong way Mal.
You're muscles need time to recover, not just for injury purposes but so they can build up. You need to have rest period between repeating excercises to get the maximum benefit.
I've got a very comprehensive plan that you will just have ime to complete before depot, if you're interested in taking a look PM me.
With regards to the press-ups. Go for more than 44, any c@#t can do that many, just set your mind and don't give up until you can bang out 60 odd.

Mal, listen mate a lot of what I read on this forum is bullshit and quite a bit of it is good advice, you need to sit back a take on board some of the good advice and ignore the crap. As for the " the RSM at Catterick is a personal friend of mine" Bollox, ignore it!!
Sounds like you are training too hard mate, when you go in, the fitness is fairly gentle and builds up to a peak for P Coy to avoid injury, if you are getting injured now you are gonna suffer when actually in.
Best you can do is plenty of running (no weight) swimming and some gym work. Don't let the crap on these boards put you off, and good luck...

My fitness plan tends to cycle. However at the moment, 3x 10mile cross country runs a week seems to be doing fine. I don't do any running on a weekend, just swimming, and a visit the gym twice a week for some simple weight lifting (lats, benchpress etc.). Sometimes on a Sunday afternoon I will try out my 2.4km best effort.
I have found I don't need any of these bergen runs, complex workout regimes etc etc. Good old basic exercise seems to do the trick perfectly.
And I live right next to Otterburn ranges, which makes for a pretty tiring run!

Correction
Maroon, it's not bollox, he is. I got no reason whatsoever to waffle. I was trying to kickstart the lad. I will accept that some do like to name drop but not this c/s. I'm too old and cynical for all that lying crap.
I accept your apology in advance.

Sittingstress,
I do not apologise for my comment's I stand by them...I don't know or care if your best mate is the RSM at Catterick. The guy is obviously young and was after some constructive advice....
Without wanting to start you off on one of your "I hate the Para's rant's" you sounded like a bit of a Walter with your post and there is enough of them on this site (that I do apologise for if I am wrong).
The way I see it is these guy's need a bit of gentle advice as they will get enough of the bullshit once in.....
Good luck in what ever you do, I bid you farewell..

Bloody hell, the acid tongues have come out here. I'd say Mal is nervous, not lacking confidence or determination. you can't make judgments on a chap without ever meeting him, about the only person here who's given good constructive advice is Maroon. You say Mal needs to grow up, Pot, Calling, Kettle & Black spring to mind!
May have sounded acid, but not meant......I have read a lot of post on this forum and as I said before, a lot of bullshit and a lot of good advice. Sittingstress, when I say you sound like a Walter, I take that back and apologize as you are quite obviously not, but, the old RSM is my best mate crap, who cares, especially some eager 17 potential recruit?
I stand by what I said about certain others on here, nature of the beast I suppose.
Anyway, my point was, if ex or serving soldiers/Marines are to give advise, lets at least make it sound professional not like a bunch of squabbling kids?
Maroon aka Juju
