SAS are you tough enough
Respect for Stone does seem to wane once you see him appearing on anything they can lend the SAS name to. Not holding back, is he? His mugshot will be on lollipops next or the new face of Pepsi: Eddie Stone lives life to the max! Waddle waddle. It was also ridiculous they way they had him or the other celebrity instructors turn up in special ways i.e. cruising in on a chopper with his ray bans, or like that Barry Davies idiot, on a quad bike.
He might well be able to rip a man's throat out but he's still a bit of a sell-out. Some might say after all his hard work he's earned the right to cash in on it but it does come across as a bit undignified.

Ha ha yeah that's true. It must be pretty shi*e being in something like that for years then coming out to a much slower-paced lifestyle. From that point of view he's struck gold getting to re-live it on his own TV show. Anyway, I don't suppose dignity counts for f*ck all when you're strapped to a chair with an iraqi belting your 'manhood' for all he's worth. After all, operational effectiveness is the important thing, I would have thought, and huffing and puffing about the desert for the cameras ain't really gonna affect that for the rest of them.
Ha ha yeah I know, that's all the enemy would have to do; chuck a tarantula instead of grenade and I'd spray my shorts! Oh Eddie save me!
I don't watch the show I only saw part of the first episode, decided it was a shower of the proverbial and continued a productive evening of doing bugger all elsewhere.

In a way its probably not an easy thing for Eddie to do. What I mean is he has to watch these people do what people perceive to be what the SAS endure in their line of work, but in reality what they are doing is probably only a fraction of what being in the SAS entails. i am merely speculating, but no civilian - no matter how fit - could do a show like that and claim to be 'tough enough' for the SAS.
I say good luck to Eddie for putting up with all the media bull**** surrounding the show and making some cash. If I even have a smidgen of understanding of what he's seen and done i sympathise with the bloke with putting up with what in his eyes must look like a bunch of undisciplined civvies with poor attitudes.

An error only becomes a failure when you fail to learn from that error...adapt and overcome

Eddie, John Mac and Barry have all done about.....oooh 5 different series of programmes together. In one i think he said that if you say things/reveal certain stuff about the SAS that you are banned from entering the barracks at Hereford-is that true?
One of my fave bits was on the last episode of SAS Survival Secrets-it was about the selection process. It was the bit where the candidates had to survive over Dartmoor i think-they had to get to the end point whilst being chased by a hunter group
(dont ask me-i dunno what im on about). One fella thought he'd made it-as he saw the DS standing there-then as he emerged from the trees he got jumped and then his interrogation began!
