BENNET use the search button in the top left. There should be more than enough tips to help you on your PRMC. At 15 are you not a little to young or will you be 16 soon.
Listen in men give 100% or i will thrash you till your eyes bleed!

Well there's an answer to that...don't eat junk, dont drink and train while you're out there! If you're near a beach try some sand runs in the evening - tough on the legs. I say the evening because you don't want to do it in the heat of the day (assuming youre going somewhere hot).

Speaking of hot-my fave time was last summer when we (London way)had those 3/4 really hot days. I liked them because whilst working, I managed to sweat out about 8lbs. Bring on the hot weather I say!

All it takes is 20 minutes mate. Im sure you could dedicate 20 minutes of your holiday in the evening. But everyone is defferent all depends on how much you want it.

Bennet, save the text crap for the Nokia, try using English, and construct sentences.
Thank you.

Bennett you're on dodgy ground there mate, i'd be careful what you say! Everyone is quite hot on spelling and grammar, its a reflection upon your own personal standards. If you're planning on joining the armed forces you need to be able to handle criticism like Prez eloquently delivered above!

As for the training on hols, i've been on lads holidays and been out on the lash heavily yet still managed to go out beach running the next day. As said previously it all depends how much you want in. I'm not saying you should be training every day! Just do a few runs etc to keep your fitness and enjoy the rest of your holiday!

Bennett, sorry for the typographical error.
Please read the attached and you will hopefully understand why I comment so vociferously about the useage of Text Speak.
Chaps, and chappesses. Please take a minute to read the attached post which I put in this particular forum early last year (2003). Nothing has changed. there was a gradual improvement in standards, but since various members have gone off to the home of torture at Lympstone things have slipped.
So............. please read the following, think about what you want to ask/say in a post, check your spelling and check it again (If necessary produce a post in Word, use spellcheck and then drag and drop). If you need help ask, but please remember we need to be able to decipher your words.

Quote:
I have been trying to get people to work at their useage of language, spelling and grammar. By no means an academic myself, I do enjoy listening to people speak clearly, enunciating correctly, and generally painting pictures with words. One of the few people capable of such artistry is Christopher Martin-Jenkins (CMJ), of BBC radio 4's cricket programme. His use of english is silmilar to that old stager Jonners.

I have made the point on several occasions that text speak is ok on a phone but a nuisance and negative aspect of many posts, especially within the joining forums. The lack of capitalization has a similar effect; it dissuades older more experienced people from replying to what they perceive as a lazy questioner.

CMJ was part of a programme specifically about the use and degradation of English on Friday. He was asked for his opinion and gave it very clearly and without any degree of aggression. his opposite number at the interview was a street poet, named Noah. Now Noah answered the first four questions put to him in exactly the same way - "Yeeeaahhh". Noah is of Carribean extraction, and has a different approach to Herb than many, I prefer Oregano in Spag Bol, he prefers Rizla around his herbs. The third participant was a professor of English at Oxford Uni who was fulsome in her praise of the forward looking, innovative expansion of the English language, both written and aural, with the use of texting etc. Oh how her joy was unbounded.
After an hour CMJ and Noah were good buddies, the prof was history and slightly ridiculed for her luvvy acceptance of the destruction of an historic, but obviously changing language; it was left to Noah to have the final words. (Paraphrased)
"English is a beautiful and ancient language, mon, and text is new and amazing, but use English when English is needed, such as in an essay, and leave da text for yo Nokia, mon."

For those of you who are new to these forums, I would ask you to do what most of the ancients do and check your posts prior to submitting them. If an error is made, it is either genuine or simply that, an error. It is sheer laziness that drives others to complain; if you request information, then please do the rest of us willing to impart our knowledge, the respect of making an effort. If you join the Bootnecks you will be taught about attention to detail. Well Ladies and Gentlemen, it starts here.

Thanks for taking the time to read that. Now you were saying something about respect.

No problem Bennett, but know who you are shouting at before giving it heaps. If you go to Lympstone it will save you loads of aggro, honest!
