I have read somewhere that the PF have to do interrogation resistance just like the SAS but i am sure this is true because the PF are a recce unit (correct me if im wrong) and operate behind enemy lines.

Yep, we all have to pass Resistance to Interrogation on the SERE course.

I think it would be worth all frontline units doing some form of R to I training prior to any deployments. After all, anyone could end up getting captured, not just the sneaky-beakys behind enemy lines.

It would be useful, but not really practical. It's not the sort of thing you could put a whole Bn through at a time. Maybe the CAC Brief though.

It used to be for SBS/SAS and air crews (pilots etc). We did it at Senior Brecon early 70s. Got a home run so I was chuffed (8 out of 50/60).
Did quite a few as catcher, good fun and you get your own back.

Harry when I got to the final RV without getting caught,I was asked if I would like to volunteer for the tactical questoning bit. The lad I was running with said yes (we had split to go into RV) the silly boy said yes because he thought I would (he was from another regiment),silly billy
They only did him for 48hrs, when he came out and we met in the mess he asked why I managed to look so fresh.

Well that's definately changed, the interrogation is now part of the course, not optional.

It was optional on senior Brecon (not part of course now )
Not for pathfinders,. Mandatory for you,,,, best place to be is on the gaurd force
Brecon in my day was Parachute Reg Battle school things were different, . now its run by school of infantry
