Some good points being made.
With all of these mega bucks the USA spent per annum on satellite imagery and intel I wonder why they couldn't track where these WMD were being moved to or buried in which part of Iraq. Probably because they once had them (as we know for a fact) but that they were destroyed long ago. Blix was seeing to the medium range missiles being destroyed, so that wasn't a delivery weapon, there was no Navy, there was no Air Force, the tanks and artillery were crap. So what was it all about then....freeing an oppressed people...............or oil?

No we're not joining the GG fanclub, but by the same token we're not taking B.Liars bullsh*t at face value either.Tom Dickson wrote:So As of yet no WMD you all joining the George Galloway fan club now.
If you had bothered to read the posts on GWII you'll find we all supported the lads and lassies that got sent out there - we just questioned the reasoning behind it.
And as for " So as yet no WND" - how long do we have to wait? According to B.Liar and that t*at G.W. Bush Iraq was about to anniliate the world, whist similtaneously supplying Al-Queda with all the WMD it could use.
Given the hype surrounding WMD at the outbreak of GWII I would have expected troops to be falling over WMD as thay advanced into Iraq - and lets face it if Iraq actually had WMD do you not think they would have used them in the face of technoligically and numerically superior opposition?
Work it out for your self.

Im afraid the enquiry team are appointed by b.liarJulesB wrote:The B.liars 'carefully' constructed house of cards seems to be falling down around his ears now doesnt it?
TWO investigations into his lies....does he really think that they are both going to find him innocent of any wrongdoing? I hope he's sh*itting himself big time...
and report directly to him
ive never heard anything so stupid in my life personally, we are supposed to believe thats an independant enquiry?
It seems that the Labour machine is trying to pin the blame on 'rouge elements within the intelligence services.' And that they misled the government over WMD. Typical, they realise that Blair could go for this so they blame it on organisations that can't answer back in the public domain, disgraceful. Stick Blair in the tower.
Tefon Tone will slide out from under this lot I have no doubt. Heads will roll, but not his. THe hype will be due to over enthusiastic spin doctors, intelligence rogue agents or the person who cloned a Tone (awful thought) so that when he is shown tape of him uttering the damning word himself he can claim it was a clone.
Trouble is too few people will remember all this after a deliberate give away pre-election budget and the tioad will get back in again. Come on you Tories provide a viable opposition/government in waiting before El Prez sets up a coup.

Given that our illustrious leader isn't too keen on questions he doesn't like it may be worth firing off an email or two to the new labour info desk:

Hi May,
Glad to finally be of use to someone
.
Well I don't know if the public will actually do anything - probably not, as you say they'll be more interested in the beckhams / soaps. there does seem to be a growing number of people who are openly critical, some to the point of hatred of B.Liar, so mabay something will happen.
When you think back to when the berk first got elected if you'd openly critisied him you'd be lible for a kicking, now people actually agree with you.
fingers crossed
FYI I just fired this off to new labour info desk:
Sir,
Given that the whole reason for launching Gulf War 2 was the impending use and/or distribution of WMD by Iraq it seems a little unclear why these weapons cannot now be found so readily.
Prior to GW2 we were led to believe Iraq had these weapons on mass and in a ready state. During the advance to both Basra and Baghdad not one WMD was intiated by a defensive force in disarray and losing the ground assault, a situation normally guaranteed to initiate use of these weapons as a last ditch attempt to regain the upper hand.
Only last week Donald Rumsfeld admitted that these WMD may never be found as Iraq would have disposed of them - one presumerably means during the conflict Iraqi soldiers took time out to dispose of WMD before the advancing troops could find them. Why? Surely if you know your position is untenable why bother to do what you were meant to do years ago.
Now we discover that a new inspections team is to be flown in replacing entirely the inspectors already in country, the government surely cannot be so arrogant as to presume that the majority of citizens of this country cannot smell a rat of gigantic proportions?
That the PM has initiated enquiry teams to investigate the recent allegations of 'over-hyping' intelligence reports prior to the war leaves me with little comfort of finding anything but substantion for the PM's actions. Seeing as the PM will appoint them and they report directly to the PM I wouldn't really expect anything else, can you explain to me once again how this equates to an independent enquiry?
It appears, once again, we have a case of New Labour meets Old Conservatives.

People do seem to be apathetic to affairs, but prehaps with the current crisis, refusal for a referundum on the Euro, giving away of Gib to curry favour with Spain etc, people might wake up and find their voices. But i doubt there will be a massive outburst, just a growing disquiet. But we need a decent opposition to raise these points and actuallly get people to think and realise what is going on. Unfortunatley IDS is dim and Charles Kennedy is a drunken idiot.
