They are trying to wipe out the globe and laurel crest and have been trying to for some time. I will continue to use it as it is OUR Corps Crest and symbolises all that the RM has achieved over the years.
Drums beating, colours flying and bayonets fixed...

I even know the bloke who had it away Harry. "Dick" Emery. Last seen running the Prince of Wales Public House in Leeds.
