Our benifits after service are great I'm not complaining, even retired pay is livable. What I was getting at was equipment. I hear still troops without body armor or sufficient rifles ect. Our commo is good or was good, but more satalite com would be great. Camelbaks, beer gardens, decent boots and some good chow might improve moral, plus more lax rules of engagement.
I was lucky serving most my 1st enlistment under clinton in a high speed unit, we got the top of the line gear in a time when the budget was shrinking fast, then later I ended up in a unit that had gear so old we just looked confused at it. I'd like to see the troops in units like that get better gear. I mean the old junk works, but new is better.
My buddy just got back and said things are pretty good overthere, not like the news. Just that Falihja(SP) was nutty, but wasn't that were Saddam had problems as well.
I still say Bush is better than the rest, if anything he will get us to the bottom so we can clean up the rotten foundation and build up solid again.
My only issue really is the troops, and the Constitution which seems to be somewhere. Maybe the founders engineered it to fail should the freedoms be usurped.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. Not that your previous posts were unclear, but for some reason I'm having trouble focussing this week...
Your last sentence's interesting. Now you got me wondering....

Jefferson and the Founding Fathers I think put safe guards in the Constitution same as God put safe guards into the soul of man. The freedom in the Constitution can only existed as long as the Judicial system remains uncorrupted. They knew this and I think intertwined with mans soul once the system becomes oppressive to the point of infringing upon unaliable rights it will self destruct activate the desire of men to live free will emerge again. The desire to be free is in us, buying stuff isn't a measure of liberty and I think people now finding that out.
In the next 20-50 years I think America might be a free Republic again.
I hope so anyway, I hope my son and his children live and die free men and look back on this last 150 years of our existence and see it as a lesson to never again trade their freedoms for "Stuff."

OK Guy's.
Take a look at this.
http://www.usvetdsp.com/jf_kerry.htm
Politicians have such short memories,or do they just consider the electorate dumb?I think I already know the answer to that vis.Kerry.
The above is worth going through completely.

That was interesting to say the least.
It got me curious about the man behind this site, Ted Sampley. He appears to be controversial himself:

Wholley they think we are dumb. McCaine? He is a traitor to the Constitution running on sympathy for being captured in Vietnam.

How and why did McCain sneak into this?

Frank.
Because he sneaks into everything.
McCain-Fiengold comes to mind.
He's jealous of Bush, but is not such a lefty as to support Kerry.
Who,I have heard he despises. He once said that he had dinner at the
White House with the president and Laura.
Asked who attended,he replied"Just the four of us,the president, the first
lady, my wife and myself.Plus the food tasters"

I liked ole Bush's speach just the other day

http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2004/02/24/bush_speech040224
The Democratic candidates, Bush said, are "for tax cuts and against them. They're for NAFTA and against NAFTA. They're for the Patriot Act and against the Patriot Act. They're in favour of liberating Iraq, and opposed to it. And that's just one senator from Massachusetts."

Bush also took aim at Democrats who have criticized last year's invasion of Iraq, but say the world is safer without Saddam Hussein in power. "Maybe they were hoping he'd lose the next Iraqi election," said Bush.
How true them Democrats are a bunch of hypocrits. Seems to me Bush is honest, he says I'm gonna dick you around then does it, instead of being all over the road in hope for support.

And he's white trash like myself :)

Quite honestly I'd say he's mah hero.

Now to just sit back and wait for the critisism, Frank I'll take your questions, comments, querys first.

Here's a couple questions, but they don't have anything to do with Bush or Kerry:
I've been wondering what effect has the weakening of the US dollar had on the Canadian economy? Did it affect trade negatively, with US buying less?
Also a more general question: how easy is it to start a small business up there?

Of course, yours is doing just fine.
Wholley.
As you say"What a World"
No, no, that wasn't a poke at Americans, Wholly. I only said "so many people swallow the crap". I'm not suggesting that America as a whole does. I agree that there are many Americans who are dissatisfied with the situation.

As for the Canadian Government: They are so entrenched in double-dealing that they can barely get their daily job of governing done! Not a pretty picture!
