Bugger something up in his car and then contact the police and inform them he's driving dangerously with an unsafe car... and you've seen him speeding lots of times... in built up residential areas... and past schools... and hospitals... and OAP homes... and so on(or maybe one or a mixture of a few). Seems to be the police forces priority at the moment.

The beating he got was deserved I think. It would probably have been better to administer it 'anonymously', but if this goes to a judge, I don't think you should lie.
The bugger will probably tangle himself in lies in front of the judge on his own: "I was driving the speed limit, I swear your highness!" And if you manage to maybe get a neighbor or two to attest to the road hazard he represents, the idiot is done. Liars lose in court.
The judge will see you overreacted but in light of the facts, the driver will look much worse. And if you have to pay damages, so be it.
This is just my opinion, mind, but you shouldn't lie to the judge.
I think Loz' right, anyway I was about to post something along what she stated. Pepsi Challenge in some dank basement, anyone?
Subsequent threats to the driver might also backfire. Talk to your neighbors: even though the consensus may well be that calling the police about his reckless driving is useless, it's always possible someone did make a complaint in the past, and that would buttress your position.

Cronk.
I'm right with you.
He should have had the gonads to admit what he had done.
Slightly at a tangent,
a while ago here,we had a spate of dog posionings.
Turned out it was an escaped felon laying down bowls of anti-freeze to kill the dogs so that he could then break in to the un-defended homes.
I was with the Sheriffs Dept at the time and the kicking he got was enough to put him in intensive care for a week before he was returned to prison. No Officers were invovled of course.

He destroyed your property, therefore you are justified in extracting satisfaction.

Boy Racer, is that a term for homosexual car race clubs?

Anyway, don't regret what you did, if you got to face the judge so what, you took that guys pride for the rest of his life. Psychologically you own him. Small price to pay to take from a man all he was and ever would be. The best is when you beat some ass knob until they cry, then you really know you got their attention.

Boy Racer

Whitey.
As I recall,a boy racer was a nutter in a XR3 Injection Turbo Nutter Barsteward, possibly Greek and with no respect for old bill.
Confusing innit.
I think they talk that way just to keep us on the hop.
I've got the inside on them though.

Really close there wholly, a boy racer is some one my age and a little older, who speeds around the streets at 7000 rpm, they normally drive a Vauxhall nova with wheels that are worth more than the car, or a Vauxhall corsa...

Cronkilla,
I have no doubt in my mind that your actions were just, however the law and justice are not always the same thing unfortunatly. Make sure your present you case well with emphasis on the fact this lad is a tw*t, and basically that he had it coming, that if he had at least had the courage to come to you, or go around and ask whos cat it was he wouldnt have been at the business end of your fists. I doubt it will go to court and if it does you have a pretty decent chance of coming out clean just the way it is.

Cronkilla,

What you did was nothing more than provide that bone idle yob with an education. He'll likely never do such an awful thing again. Behaviour like that could have been nipped in the bud years ago by a single quick smack that the school system and coppers are no longer allowed to dish out, lest they offend somebody who's "expressing himself." Will you be allowed to have character witnesses speak on your behalf?
"Poor Ike, it won't be a bit like the Army. He'll find it very frustrating. He'll sit here and he'll say, 'Do this! Do that!' And nothing will happen."

Nothing has been said apart from the odd cocky remark from him and his bum chums while they drive off. Tempting as it is ive not resulted to vandalising his 'beauty'(1.4 nova might i add). I have started to note things he does(such as speeding off) in a notepad with the times etc and am in the proess of getting a camera to record it. Also got a few signatures down of people who agree he drives dangerously. After a while ill see what use it is. Its also very tempting to walk over and fill him in when hes stood there smugly smiling at me. I dont want to do it again from fear it messes up my application for the RM but ive contacted a few friends who are willing.

I hate to sound like the big girl or the sensible one but if you do something to his car dont cut the brakes as that may result in an innocent person gets hurt. Put anti freeze (i think thats the chemical) in his petrol tank and the engine will stop working or something simple like vaseline on the windscreen.

Sod all this breaking his car business. Go and take a poo on his bonnet, if you sneak out in the early hours when no one is about then your laughing. Use an old toothbrush and smear it on his windscreen wipers
