Getting 1.5 time down.
Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
No idea to be honest. I've only looked on the Army Jobs site, but Im hoping to get more of an idea from the barb results.
Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
Ahh right cool, just make sure you have a really good think about what job you want before making the decision so many people drop out these days because they've chosen the wrong job
Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
Yeah, I want to be 100% regarding what regiment etc, I'm not rushing into any decision lightly. I still have plenty of time, I can't even make an application till I lose another 3kg anyway.. Are you MrMillar on Arrse?
Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
I am yes, under Millar, I avoid going on there very often though because they'res far to much trolling and personalized threads are always locked before you can get an answer and instead you are pointed to some generalized thread with over 200 pages to find your answer.Fent wrote:Yeah, I want to be 100% regarding what regiment etc, I'm not rushing into any decision lightly. I really do hate that forum! The people are so rude and insulting. I only spoke to one decent bloke on there who'd give advice.Millar wrote:I am yes, under Millar, I avoid going on there very often though because they'res far to much trolling and personalized threads are always locked before you can get an answer and instead you are pointed to some generalized thread with over 200 pages to find your answer.Fent wrote:Yeah, I want to be 100% regarding what regiment etc, I'm not rushing into any decision lightly. Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
Which is why I prefer this forum, there is less members that post on here but you don't need anymore Members as the few that are here have no point to prove and give actual honest advice without making a dick of you for it, the Admins seem to be experienced servicemen/women so I trust that they know what there talking about, were as ARRSE seems to be full of people that claim to know what there talking about but rather than proving it and actually giving said knowladge they would rather give a childish remark and make you feel like an idiot.Fent wrote:I really do hate that forum! Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
Cheers mate. I got 2kg more to go and I can start an application, it feels like ages ago I started this weight loss so I can start an app and im about there now!
Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
Can you see a difference? I find that with weight loss everyone but yourself seems to notice, I've lost about a stone in weight during my application, and everyone seems to be able to see it apart from me! hahaFent wrote:Cheers mate. Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
Yeah I can, I was close to 19st and lost 4. I only had it round my face and gut. My face has trimmed up and gut has gone down. Alot of people say "Have you lost some weight?" I'm like some?!?!? try 4stone haha! Weigh in this morning and lost another 3 lbs which puts me 1lb off from making an app! So I might go in and try my luck see if he'll let me do it! I could say anything over 92kg is my clothes weight lol
Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
That's great News m8, seems to be just flying of you at that rate then, I'm about 83 atm, wanting to be about 80 before Phase 1, but since I'm building up some muscle in my upper half of my body I don't think it will happen since Muscle does add weight.
Kinda funny really because if the entire English Rugby Team applied to join the Army they would all be turned away because of how much they weigh and they're probably some of the fittest people around, the system needs changing in my opinion.

Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
It is all abit weird! Im thinking of getting down to 85kg but I need to start lifting some weights soon and put abit of muscle on.. But I have abit of time yet as still working on run time!
Re: Getting 1.5 time down.
Just make sure you balance the muscle gain as like I said too much muscle = to much weight hahaFent wrote:It is all abit weird! Im thinking of getting down to 85kg but I need to start lifting some weights soon and put abit of muscle on.. But I have abit of time yet as still working on run time!
