Yes, here's a link to the story:

And you're right very few Challenger II's have been destroyed/disabled due to enemy action but this was one of them.

I think that the only other Challenger knocked out was by another Challenger when it strayed into it's path during a dust storm in Iraq during the months of of the second campaign there

I take that back, I have just read a different report, my mate must have been talking about the other injured person.

Anyone who attacks is at a disadvantage, that's just the way it works unfortunatley.

we where given some stats on the bronco's that are getting modded for afghan, even given a link to the original article: http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/Defen ... ItsWay.htm

they look good tbh. this is a bit of a douchey video, but you get the gist http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDfHHKZf3-w

Very sure. May well be that only 1 or 2 have been destroyed, but one of them was by an IED in Basra. I believe the official word was 'damaged', but after seeing the pictures, I don't think it was much use to anyone after that.

Was mostly just pointing out that bored_stupid was being unusually astute for a newbie. What he wrote is spot on.
