The evidence is weighted in favour of the Corps Diary so far, M'lud.Steve, here is answer you want,
Yellow, (old gold, one part) 1664 coat colour.
Green, (light infantry green, one part) perpetuates light infantry title.
Red, (Drummer red, 2 parts) Tunic colour until 1876.
Blue, (Navy blue, 8 parts) connection with Royal Navy.
