Put the hand bags down lads, come on, chill out
Id say so. Im quite happy to sit here supping on my coffee while responding to the ignorance put to me. If anyone else wants to get all uppity about it I'd suggest they calm down and take five.

I also would like to raise the question of why so many people are so hotheaded around here and respond to stuff they dont like in such a childish manner.

Respect, humor and humility are an important part of our armed forces on the whole, the ego's of the marine wannabees or those at least going through RT need to be checked a bit.

Bigdog is bang on, Id challenge anyone objecting to this post to get themselves along to a barracks and shouting their views about.

And that aside, its the people in here gobbing off who this post applys to most.

I come on this site to learn and get info on RM , I just see your original post completley pointless and nothing to do with RM.
Are you really unable to comprehend how MARINE recruits or people wanting to BECOME marines is related to MARINES?

If the RAF bods were gobbing off Id be in there saying the same.

Im not posting about the Army, I am posting about what MARINE wannabees are saying about the Army.

So do you see how if I had posted this in the Army forum it would not have been seen by the wannabee MARINES its aimed at?

Clear now I've spoon fed it to you?

I dont think the Army is ever mentioned on here. Barely ever.
Have a look in the Army commando thread.

And a point on attention to detail: you may 'think' the army is barely ever mentioned *here* - clearly you don't *know* that its not.

Suppositions are not to be relied on.

Other point to note: its also so far only the bootie wannabees who object to this post. How ironic.
My god you are bloody emotionally charged. Arnt you? :o

Mate, its not that I am objecting to this post... The problem I have is that you post a stupid topic in a Royal marines forum which is just going to start people off fighting and arguing like a bunch a flaming fannys.

Grow up mate, you only made this thread in the aim of causing conflict.

.. And C'mon Bootie wannabee's? Pretty much 95% of the users in this forum are Royal marine wannabees. (people going through recruiting process)

Anyway leave me out of this Ladys.

Remember it's only a certain few and not everybody that is "dissing" the Army, I've got no problem with he Army or it's training. I got mates in both RM and the Army and both are tough as old boots and have strong physical abilities.

Thing this thread should be locked and blocked.

Quite how you can tell that is beyond me. Someone care to enlighten me as to how you know my mood based upon words on a screen which account for approximately 7% of the communication process?

And need I point out it was you who thought it prudent to lambast my post in the first place?

Thats right, its only a certain few, and those certain few know who they are. Yet you see fit to rebuke the thread when based upon the reply quoted here you would actually agree with the crux of it?

Or do you think it better we let people who have achieved little gob off about those who have acheived much?

People need keeping in check, clearly you accept there are a certain few, and this is aimed at them. So wheres the problem? And why do you object so much to popping some grossly inflated egos?

A stupid topic? Please, just explain to me how a topic that aims to give a few a wakeup call you profess to agree they need, in the forum they all dwell, which has only started what some perceive as fighting, because those who actually do disagree with it start gobbing off even more?

Then, instead of reinforcing the point to those gobbing off you choose to argue against the point of the thread?

Its like your saying "Yeah theres a good point, but dont make it, and if you do make it, Im just going to say you want to start a fight".

Again, some interesting logic displayed by people who would seem to agree with my point.
