Hahaha, learned the hard way! Ive never been a fan of Promax, ive always steerd clear of that crap. Maximuscle is stupidly priced when you can get something else that does the job just as good, cheaper. Promax only offers 25g of protien per serving! That is crap! Especially if you're looking to build muscle!
Rich being a bodybuilder i thought you would have known that??? Ideally you want something with 50g + of protien per drink if you can. Im sure you know that the quality of protien also counts. I only know this because i used to do bodybuilding type training myself and i made sure i got clued up on whats good, whats not.
Note, sure bodybuilding type training gets you bigger - but be warned! You loose flexibility and stamina! Your body strength will not keep up with your size, sure you'll get stronger but it doesnt reflect on your size, especially when it comes down to pull-ups and press-ups - i know this because ive seen it so many times myself!
I think 'sure you can bench press x amount, but i'll take you to skool on press-ups'. Not being big headed, thats just how ive seen it. A couple of my mates who i used to train with, they are now stronger than me when it comes to lifting weights becaue i stopped doing that type of training, but id still kill both of them on press-ups easily.
Remember though, bodybuilding isnt about strength, its just about gaining size.
However, i did gain alot from doing that type of training - it taught me about pain! And lots of it! I didnt know i could push myself as far as i could until i did this. The intense burning you get in your muscles from a drop set, pyramid or super-set is amazing! At first its weird but eventually you love it! You look forward to going to the gym to punish yourself, you learn to ignore the pain, but what pain comes through - you love it!
Im sure you'll agree with me on that one
Rich?
By the way, if anyone wants supplements, this is a website i have always used as its cheap and its got loads and loads on it! Enjoy!
