Well done! Nice one - looking forward to hearing more tales! So at what point did the pain really set in? How did you cope with the heat?

A high point was when we were put into two teams and told to sprint the assault course. I finished second and was pretty pleased with myself. Silly me though, had to do it again because we wern't fast enough. Oh yeah, i was punished for buggering up the rope bridge so i was drenched all the way round the rest of bottom field.

The heat was the worst during the RMFA. Recieved a nice thrashing before we actually did the bleep test which was nice. I got 11.5 but was told at the end that it would have been 13.5 if there wasnt a "warmup".
Got 78 pressups, 82 situps and 13 pullups (slipped off).

Ofcourse the endurance course was a f***ing nightmare and definately the worst part of the whole course. Swallowed some nice brown stinking water, which was nice and refreshing.

Sounds intense, kinda puts where i am in training into perspective! I know that POC is harder but GEESE! Good Effort!! How long it take you to get to that standard?

I was below standard cardiovascular wise and was extremely close to wrapping. The only thing that kept me going (i was convinced that i had failed) was not to v.w. as that limits your chances of coming back, so i suffered the torture for the rest of the endurance course. My pressups, situps and pullups didnt help me in the slightest when it came to the endurance course.

Get used to running up hill while wet, wearing water logged boots & combat jacket, totally exhausted and a PTI screaming at you to give up (mind games the whole way - just for me!)

Imagine my suprise when they said i had passed :D -

Best advice i can give is when it really gets tough, never give in - DON'T STOP!!!!! - oh, and it also helps to pass the first day too so get you bleep test up to about 13 at the minimum because you might just get a "cheeky warm-up"

I'm surprised your partner didnt tell you that you had done over 60 press ups actually! They're great RMFA scores though, what was your overall score for it?

And i also drank some water, not the brown stuff though, the orange stuff. Did they tell you to dunk your head in when you were crawling in it? I had to laugh when they told us to do that hehe.

78 pushups! Jesus H Christ you are a legend! I won't tell you what my record for pushups are, I'll only admit that I'm hoping to get through on the strength of my bleep test, sti-ups and pull-ups!

Well done guys fur passing. 78 pressups is a lot. That amounts actually pretty scary :o
There seems to be quite a few passing POC recently which gives a confidence boost to others that will be doing it in the future. Definately gives me a bit of inspiration anyway! :D

Once again congratulations and good luck with AIB

Cheers guys, my partner did shout out that i had reached the max but i was told to keep going. Like i said, if the whole course was about pressups i would have been in heaven - but after the RMFA they are not important.
