The whole of the Armed Forces normally go on leave at the same time.

Its the 23rd december and for 2 weeks. And as said before a rear guard is always on camp to, well, guard it!

Thats three lads in total I can find from MF who are starting at the same time, which is pretty cool. I sent you a PM, lads. BTW, I did my PRMC on October 19th, but I don't think there were any MF lads on that PRMC.

Anyway, just getting over the flu and then I can hopefully get back into some kind of quality training. Its been killing me so far. Three weeks with no to minimum phyz is appauling for me, but at least I've managed to improve my press-ups :P

What happens to those who turn up below PRMC standards? Obviously we will be tested to see if we can cope with basic training and then gradually built up, but do those who don't make it get backtrooped or sent home? Also, what are the PTIs general thoughts on those turning up unfit?

Im guessing they think its a waste of their farking time!

PRMC fitness is around week 3 fitness, so if you dont have that level of CV fitness (because sinse PRMC you wouldnt have lost much anerobic fitness) then it shouldnt take long to build back up, 2 weeks its taken me. Your body has a memory so it 'can; be easier to get back to the level you were.

dave

that sounds to complicated and muddled up, sorry!

I think I understand what you mean. Basically, due to the length and intensity of my training in the past and because I've only had three weeks off, I should find that I pick up my fitness quite quickly within the first two weeks of basic. Is that right? That'll be great, I'm certainly going to go balls to the wall when I get there

alright lads, hows it goin? i start training the 21st aswell. does any body know if you can be kicked out if your fitness level is not as high as it was during prmc? my careers adviser told me you have to serve 28 days before you can quit so i was wondering if the same applies to being discharged.

they can kick you out when they like.

They wont care if you are not as fit as PRMC as long as you give 110% percent and you are not a total w@#k who thinks they can do what they want and moan like a girl!

thats what i thought dave. i dont think my fitness has changed dramatically since prmc so im not too worried and theres no chance of me being kicked out for not putting in enough effort. i did quite well on my prmc and was told i had a decent level of stamina/endurance. finished the assault course in 3 min 10, got to level 12.5 on the bleep test so im expecting to crack on quite well with the phys next week.

Do you have to fill in that green booklet the Afco first gives you with training advice. Theres a 10 week calender in the middle it says you have to fill out after prmc to show what youve been training and they will take a look at it. I hope not cause after prmc im hoping to teak break

bloody good question mate. when you pass prmc you are given a white book titled "are you ready to join the royal marines" which also has a 10 week training program in the middle. it says in the book you have to take the completed diary with you to basic. if this is true then im going to be in the shit as i havent done this!!!
