I have an interview to be an officer on the 6th October, however im not sure if I would enjoy being an officer really. I have a degree and thats why the person I saw at the AFCO said I should speak to the someone about being an officer. But I dont think I would enjoy that at all.
Anyway what I was really asking is this, if I go to the interview and tell them this do you guys think I could get onto the 25th October PRMC? I would need to do medical and other tests first though, which is the porblem. I dont know if they would speed things up so I could get away on that one. I would prefer to join before christmas to be honest.

Cheers

Im unsure but just to put things in perspective they need a few weeks notice to get you a prmc date never mind arrange a medical etc. but you might aswell still ask oyur afco.

Cheers I will ask anyway and see what they say, I suppose there will probably be a PRMC at the end of November aswell. Just means I probably couldnt start until after christmas though.

Thats excellent man!! Do you know any of the start dates for a recruit troop? It would be great to get in before christmas. Im pretty certain I would not enjoy being an officer and to be honest Iv always wanted to climb the NCO ladder anyway. I just hope the guy who interviews me is not annoyed with me not wanting to be an officer, but Im sure I wont be the first to think that it wasn't right for me.

Im unsure of the recruit startig dates, sorry. Also ive heard its possible to go for officer recommendation after a few years as marine, i suppose that would have its advanages because of the experience and respect you would have gained through years as being a mariine. This is what im thinking of doing.
