Many thanks for your input, reading between the lines there is not a lot of difference in our replies, and yes I will agree with most of what you say, but I don't think that the front line regiments are the place for a person who has suffered with this sort of problems, but there are some very good jobs in the Arny in support roles which they may better suited for.
Many of the people that want to join the Army with these sort of problems don't fully understand the pressures that they can be under and seem to feel once they are in all will be okay in the end. I was called up to serve back in the 1950's and saw at first hand just what could happen to some of these people back in those days, when you had to serve and depression was not an excuse for not going in the army, as this sort of thing was thought of as an excuse not serve your country and they had to do their two years regardless, and I saw a number of them fall beside the way side even in training.
