You could break your leg or have a nasty accident a week or so into training and have to leave. You`ll need all your qualifications then....

I stuck in all the way upto uni, just to fall back onto something incase anything happens.

If I was you, I would do the same :)

Sorry, thats just my opinion, i hated it i mean really hated. I was walking in and the head teacher told me to tuck my shirt in and i just went crazy and told them to F**K off.
Clever, real clever. :-?

Lets hope they took all your character, spirit and personality in the RAF.

Got score of 57 in the BARB, and i have 4 pages of jobs open to me...yet im only after one :)

Guess i will have to find 2 other options to put down...dont think i will get away with putting all 3 choices as "Para reg". Anyway, ive got medical forms to give to my GP and when they are back at AFCO i am in for the interview and cruising through the process.

I also had to do a Literacy and Numeracy test after i did the BARB, still computerised. I think it was about key stage 4/GCSE level questions, but aparently i got the best literacy score that AFCO has ever seen :P

I have got a whole load of reading to do for now to find 2 more job choices.

I felt a bit gutted when i mentioned i did a 3 mile run in 20.59 mins yesterday (feeling a bit proud of myself, being my PB), and the Sgt says "well, you will have to do better than that...Para reg requires you to do 3 miles in just over 18 minutes" :o

Well done mate. I was told the average on the BARB is 40. I got 72 and was told that if i joined the cheshire regiment or paras i would go in as a level 4 private. 57 should be level 3-4. Which means a little bit more pay and better chance of promotion.

Tip up to any training establishment with an attitude like that and it will be seriously detramental to your health mate.

Thanks for the link read it and had a laugh. What a dick, sounds like a regular James Bond!

James like the others have said stick with school and then join the Paras at least then you will have something to fall back on if all doesn't go to plan, wish I had gone to collage.
Good luck with what ever you decide.

Yes, and i have got plenty of hard work to do to get myself in tip top order. Running everyday from now on. 2 Sprint sessions, and 1 endurance run and 2 fast runs per week. Plus upper body.

Already done 2/5 runs, so im off for another now...joy :)
