Congrats mate, well done indeed. What were your stats prior to taking PRMC? For example... how many press-ups/situps after a good run?

Hi Everyone!

Thought i'd wait and let Tom type his post and then add to it (i hate typing).

I passed also,

Scores were

Bleep test 12.9
Press ups 45 (total after a few deducted)
Sit ups 76
Pull ups 6

Assault Course 3min 26s

Gym test 1 isn't easy but ok if you prepare! The bottom field was the hardest thing i've ever done, (i was very wheezy in my chest from a cold), The three miler is ok as long as you've put the miles in and practiced last 1.5 mile sprinting! I actually enjoyed Gym test 2 in a sadistic hard training session sort of way! I did a lot of Boxercise before PRMC and I felt that gave me a massive advantage during Gym test 2.
Double marking time was a killer as you had no rest at all between any of the exercise's.

If you have no previous Military experience then PRMC will be a hell of a culture shock, but there's nothing you can do but get through it. At the end of the first full day i did ask myself if i could/would cope with the lifestyle. By the next day after the 3 miler and the interview i was loving it and decided it was definitely for me!

A couple of other observations were:
The times where you are waiting around between the Phys sessions?interviews give you way too much time to anticipate and get nervous for the next activity.

If you fluff one of the tests (one guy got 18 press ups, another came behind corporal on 3 miler and both passed) don't automatically think you have failed PRMC, DETERMINATION is the key just keep going and give it your all.

I think we dropped lucky with our accomadation being the new San Carlos block as it was all very new and easy to clean! But like Tom said the stairs seem like everest when you can hardly feel your legs!

We didn't follow the Schedule in the green bible exactly, all the tests were in the right order, but the lectures and Revielle were all different, and we didn't get to meet the 'Diamonds'.

We started with 26 (one didn't even bother to turn up) and finished with 13 and a couple of the corporals said we had a strong troop!

Think i've covered most things there. But any other questions, just fire away!

Well done again for passing guys. :D

Out of interest how fast would you say you need to run the last 1.5 miles on the 3 miler?

Thanks

Ok thanks.

I presume that it needs to be under 10 minutes much like the PJFT?

Cheers
