on the swearing of oaths

Post by nbforrest »

In the American Army we swear an oath to do two things: 1) to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic and 2) to obey the orders of the President and the officers appointed over us. I am amazed at how all of us in one form or another broke the "uphold the Constitution" part on a regular basis. The Constitution is mangled on a daily basis by lawmakers and no one in the military toggles the selector switch back and forth or rattles the saber. I suppose the ordinary Joe, thanks to the state brainwashing and re-education centers that pass for schools here, knows any better and the Senior officers have too sweet of a deal with retirement and contractor jobs to actually take a silly old oath sworn before the God of the Universe seriously. Hey, I guess they get along so they don't have to get it on.

Yes we did take an oath to obey the President, but the Constitution takes priority over the man. So only if the president follows the Constitution are his orders lawful in my understanding of things. As for the Queen being removed think about that. Who always attacks monarchs and the Aristocrats? Socialist's and Communist's. The question is, are you willing to fight to keep the monarchy? If I had to choose between Monarch and Socialist style rule I'd choose Monarch. Your Royals should be to you what our Constitution is to us. Your Parliment like our Congress is made of transient people who are disinfranchised from the general population, but our Constitution is the common thing like your Queen that connects and binds the ordinary people.

Gentlemen make no mistake we are at war, not with terrorist's in some desert, but with treasonous profiteers and corrupt politicians in our own ranks. As Frank said Constitutions are being re-written on 3 continents as we speak. PC isn't just an American or British thing it hit the whole world and became the new lingua-franca since 1994. Our Constitution like your Royals are under attack, and with that it is an attack on our national identity. When you lose your Royals and the Patriot Act part two is passed here, we will enter the darkest period free men have ever known.
Keep ten yards! Anyway you can.

Just to add, yes my fellow Reb you are right, we saw our superiors swallow their own dick for a good Officer Evaluation Report all the time didn't we? It was sad, and made it hard to respect them. The upheaval in the US military would come from the NCO's before it would the Officers. True they just want to retire and work for a defense contractor, and would prostitute themselves to accomplish that shallow goal, even if it meant ordering their own men to fire on our own citizens. So sad, so true, so anger provoking. Thank God all the real troops have made a mass exodus out of the service and left only a skeleton crew of Hessians supplimented by Jessica's.

If you Brit's need help retaining the Monarch, let me know and I'll be there.
Other than your views on private arms I like you folks, you are where we come from, and looking more and more where we may be going.

The monarchy

Post by df2inaus »

When you look at England all our old traditions have disappeared one by one. What we still do have is the pageantry and heritage we get from the Royal Family. If we lose that I can't think of another thing we've got to give us some sense of 'connectedness' and heritage.
Where do I begin? My grandfather, a penniless Ukranian immigrant went out of his way to take his family to see the King and Queen, hundreds of miles from nowhere in Saskatchewan in 1939. Seeing them lifted his and his children's spirits above drought, depression and the sick-to-your-stomach dread of an impending catastrophic war-these are feelings modern politicians and lefties have never known.

In 2002, I was there on the Whitehall for her funeral procession and overwhelmed by emotion.

PC, morally bankrupt politicians will come and go, as will the tabloid editors who would step over their own mothers to publish first. The monarchy will always be there, in sickness and health. The Royals are our handrail, our lighthouse in a storm- whatever you want to call it.
"Poor Ike, it won't be a bit like the Army. He'll find it very frustrating. He'll sit here and he'll say, 'Do this! Do that!' And nothing will happen."

This might not be a bad thing, although there are problems with it.
Might not be a bad thing if the documents place a premium on individual rights, as does the American model.
This could actually reinforce the US constitution.
On the other hand, our constitution is also constantly undermined by the shift from individual rights to groups' (read: minorities) rights which dilutes the notion of individual responsibility, as we can see daily.
This will take time, as will UN reform.

Frank,
I think the only thing you should change is drawers. Breast inplants, Viagra and magazines are the only things that change has positively impacted.

The Monarchs beleive it or not inspire even us here. Like our Constitution inspires us and others. They embody us.

nbforrest,
We are losing our heritage in the South due to pandering
politicians and minority's with loud voices,NAACP for one and ACLU for
another.I think SC caving in to some boycott threatened by the NAACP regarding the Stars and Bars has shown these minority groups that if they shout loud enough they will get their way.Now the same thing has happened in Georga and Mississipi. They feel they have a duty to re-write history, makes me puke.
I beleive the same is happening in the UK and for exactly the same reasons but with different names.

I think at some point all this PC shit is going to hit critical mass. I am of the opinion that all physical laws have a moral or spiritual if you will equivalent. Granny used to say, "Billy, you cain't plant taters and get corn." This attack against us is going to backfire at some point. Possibly the attacks will end with the fall of the great Yankee whore of Babylon "civilization" as it collapses under its own weight. don't know for sure. But I'm not too worried, I can hunt and fish and grow my own food. Hell, what do you really need? Taters, corn, purple hull peas, speckled butter beans, some greens and pork is about it. Trade some cotton to N.C. for some chew and well shitfire. Seriously, those people are about to have enough of thier own problems up there. amazing how they seem to find time to still make fun of us. I don't mind the comedy at our expense. I suppose it makes them feel better after a long hard day in a tiny cubicle in a big tall building with no windows or fresh air and a subway ride home next to blue gums, deviants and other grouchy arrogant Yankees.

I hope they will stay. In this fiscally astute world I think they will stay because they are value for money. Thats not why I want them to stay but if its the only thing keeping them there then I am happy to make the argument:

1) If we have a president all the signs are they would have no more power than the Monarchy. They would be Head of State only in the same way as the President of the Republic of Ireland who has no more power there than the monarchy here.

2) We will still have to pay for them and added to this we will have to pay for the arguably pointless election proccess. I know the government would be happy to give us elections and referendum when we don't want or need them but they balk at the thought of giving us the same when we want and need them. Or am I the only one who has noticed this? Either way we would be spending serious time and money on a pointless excercise. IMHO.

3) Now we have paid all this cash and spent all this time we are left with an institutution that nobody outside the UK wants or cares about. All of a sudden you have lost millions if not billions of pounds that the monarchy brings in each year thanks to tourists who are interested in our Royal Family because the Royal Family is no longer there.

Put simply they generate more money for the British economy than they cost hence my opinion that they are good value for money.

Again I must point out these are not my primary reasons for wanting to keep the monarchy but they are the most sensible ones. If we get rid of them, we lose interest from abroad, if this happens we lose tourists, if this happens we lose cash, jobs, respect and a whole lot more. They are not just desirable they are essential and they are not anachronistic.

Please excuse any spelling mistakes.
Swift and bold.

I think many pople have put their opinions on the monarchy generally on other threads, some of which on here; viewtopic.php?t=3977&highlight=royal+oath . But on this thread, I doubt the monarchy will be abolished for a few decades if not indefinitely. As while many people don't like them, I think it does benefit from being very deeply ingrained in national psyche and just about every area fo the state, and I think too many people would be uncomfortable about this to push for complete abolition.

But I am personally very woried about movements against the monarchy, and their openly hostile ideas towards the monarchy is the largest single reason I will not vote for the Liberal Democrats (for the American members, Lib Dems = wet liberal left wingers :) ), the best short term hope for the monarchy is for the Conservatives to get in government as at least they are on the whole anti reformist when it comes to things like this. Of course I doubt that'll stop them if votes are up for grabs, but I'l hope for the best :(.

If you ever need help

Post by nbforrest »

Should the occasion arise speaking for me and some boys I know down home, you can count on my humble presence to help keep the monarchy safe. My humble presence would include several firearms and several crates of ammo and my handy dandy aid bag (have to keep them alive so we can torture them some more later).

Gent's,
I go to College with a bunch of Liberals, liberals are not liberal, they are communist's who think they are humanists. I recently was accused of racism by a professor old nbforrest can vouch because I said the USA should stop illegal immigration. It is racist to agree with the Constitution and State law, but is PC and right law or not to disregard law while collecting a state check. I believe in freedom of speech, and I figure this pig can say what she wants, but calling a man a racist's and demanding a sacrafice on the whore godesses alter of Political Correctness in the form of repentence is out of control. I repent to God, not to some socialist thought policeman. You people need to be very sceptical of these so called liberals who demand tollerance, yet won't tollerate anything not their way.
Communist's hate monarchs and aristocrats and especially God. That is popular in school the open denial and hatefulness of God. They think man makes his problems and can solve them, they also think man can overcome and master the earth. Not so I'm sorry to say, we can funk it up, and thats about it. The Liberals hate the Constitution, after the Civil War the Southern Aristocracy under Reconstruction was forced to become sharecroppers by the abolishionists(Communists of the time). If they take your Queen who will you be? Who will you become, and if things go to shit, who can you as a common people rally behind? We have our Constitution, you have the Queen, and both are under attack. As nbforrest said, if you call he would come, and I'd follow him then like I followed him before, especially to fight the new age slave traders known as Liberals. Fly you St. Andrew's Flag, show those bastards you aren't afraid. Refuse to change your traditions and ways, force them to change. The Liberal has only words and is easily punked out. We fly our Confederate flags here and confront our new age commies with rationalism, they hate rationalism, it's like cryptonite to them and they either run, cry(my favorite) or appologize. Whatever you do, don't give in and don't be afraid to stand up. We in the South were afraid for a long time, but our numbers are growing and we are tired of the lies, and God is all we got left, now they want to toss him down, and we will be damned before we allow that or to remain the national punching bag for a bunch of liars and collectivist's.
