Ophra's ass now that's a BIG ass, I wouldn't like to be behind here after a she had a curry.

I fight for my corner and secondly I leave when the pub closes. - Winston Churchill
Weight
America's weight problem is a character problem. We aet like shite and diet like we all are supposed to look like fashion models. At 6'2, my weight fluctuates between 220 and 215. I'm not fat but I find it harder to stay in shape at 38 than 28.
Gaining weight is easy, gaining muscle mass is plain hard wok. I was so skinny as a kid I could stand under a clothesline in a thunderstorm and stay dry. Now, I have to spend and hour a day in the gym and really watch what I eat. Last P.t. test I did 64 push ups, 68 sit ups and ran the two miles in 16:30. My current lack of speed is a great source of amusement amongst the guys in my section.

a good way to put on weight as already mentioned is protein shakes...combine this with weight training....do weights three times a week, day 1 do 5 sets of bench presses ...day 2 do deadlifts...and day 3 do squats (not on consequtive days)....take the protein shake right after your workout and your muscles will grow...i put on 2 stone in about 8 months from doing this....but did put on some fat as well ...
To put on wieght just make sure you have three good meals a day. Have somthing for breakfast, have a sandwich for lunch and then a big dinner. You can also have the odd snack in between. Also buy some dumbell wieghts, (I bought 10kgs ones) and use them 4 or 5 days a week for about 20mins.(Dont over do it though, if a muscle begins to hurt, rest for a couple of days.) You should get a guide that shows a couple of excersices you shoud do with the dumbells. And also go running once or twice a week and doing press ups and sitt ups.
Ive now increased the amount of fitness things i go each week but thats what i started to do when i wanted to put on weight about 10 months ago.
Back then i was a skinny 9 and half stone,( for a 17 year old, that was pretty bad
).
Now im just over twelve stone and im proud to say its 'mostly' muscle
Hope it helps.

I read somewhere that the most you can realistically hope to gain through eating and weights is 1lb of muscle a month- i don't know if this is an understatement but 1lb of muscle is actually quite a lot.
It's probably better to be underweight than overweight, at the start of the 'training' program i've recently put myself on to increase my fitness I had a resting pulse of 50, which supposedly means i'm fit, but i'd struggle to run a mile, probably because i was carrying around between one and two stones of excess lard, although that is starting to fall off fairly rapidly now i'm dieting and exercising regularly.
Although you need to get above the minimum limit, don't get too hung up on muscle mass, a flyweight boxer would probably stand a much better chance of passing selection than a body builder.
