Well with the RAF Regiment you are lucky the history is less than hundred years unlike some Regiments. It missed WW1 and it did not take much of a part in any of the Major Battles of WW2.

Really? I assume that was aimed at Tabs last post?

Given the fact the RAF Regt was only formed in the Second World War you can't be disputing the fact they didn't partake in World War I. So since you think it's a "load of b*ll*cks" would you care to enlighten us as to which major battles the RAF Regt fought during World War II?

Having pride in the Regiment you're joining is one thing however insulting someone who's "been there and done it" for simply stating facts isn't on.
