'We believe there is now enough evidence to inform people that using cannabis could increase their risk of developing a psychotic illness later in life.'

A Department of Health commissioned report. This follows GB's order to review the decision to downgrade cannabis to category C.

I was working for HMC&E (now HMR&C) when cannabis was downgraded. Most anti-drugs officers were incredulous. Reports at the time indicated that the public thought it had been legalised! No wonder society is plunging into lawlessness.

Different declension of the verb 'to plunge,' there.

Same as 'to smoke.'

You don't see any 'No Smokeing' signs, do you? Else someone needs a good lesson or two in basic grammar and spelling. :o

I liked this one so much I decided to post it again.

George Galloway quoted in the Guardian:

"I am on the anti-imperialist left... If you are asking did I support the Soviet Union, yes I did. Yes, I did support the Soviet Union, and I think the disappearance of the Soviet Union is the biggest catastrophe of my life. If there was a Soviet Union today, we would not be having this conversation about plunging into a new war in the Middle East, and the US would not be rampaging around the globe." Simon Hattenstone, The Guardian, September 16, 2002.

Ever heard of irony?

Or Ali G? Richard Madeley?

Anyway, as I suggested yesterday, rather than bore the crap out of everyone, why not address whatever issues you have with me via PM?

Not attributable to a single person, but this was a common phrase during my school years:

"Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough."

Similarly

"Think you're hard? Wanna fight?"

Always made me giggle. I'm sometimes surprised at how the attitude still prevails amongst people who really ought to know better.

I am not 'hard.' But I have opinions which differ from yours.

I have invited you several times to thrash out whatever issues you have with me via PM.

You have not had the courtesy to respond.

Jayne.

Steve

Sometimes I really do wonder. You with your "Witty" remarks and relpies to Flighty's posts has resulted in her breaking her heart thinking that you have it in for her.

So in future please engage your brain before typing out your "Oh so Witty and clever remarks". Not everybody on here has your sense of humour you see. Me included.

I have no idea what you are on about. Why would she think that?
In the last year or so I have rarely if ever directly replied to any post she has made.
One of the effects of cannabis is paranoia.
resulted in her breaking her heart thinking that you have it in for her.
In that case she should be a bit more sensitive to how she responds to other posters.

I'm always reluctant to post anything that contains venom but in this instance I'll make an exception. You don't have a sense of humour, you condescending twat.

Guess what? You don't have to edit twat!

I apologise for not thinly disguising my expletive.

Fark off- is ok etc.

Any second now I expect Frank S (who ever he is) will give me a warning in red and 'No games' . Another tosser who thinks that because he was a moderator he has divine knowledge. What a tw@!

anyone shooting a line?
anyone on a litre of £9.98 Asda vodka - er, well, apart from me? :-?

come on folks, let's get it back together!!

well, once the 'effects' of various narcotic/alcoholic influences have worn off! 8)

"God. And probably thinks so". Isn't that one of the denominations over on OAMAAM?
Whatever the case maybe, have it your way Steve.
