There is nothing wrong in reading out statements to a TV Camera. If it makes your life easier or stops the beatings or worse then you are taught to do it in your training. You read the statement in a way so its obvious your being made to do it and you dont agree in what your saying.
Plus theres clever people on our side who can tell alot from these footages, which could help in a rescue mission. One of the top Al Qieda members in Iraq was tracked down and killed by broadcasting footage of himself. And it shows your loved ones back home your alright. Infact someone said once that its a good thing to do, and if you can get in a quick "Im alright Mum" in there the better

Makes me wonder what else they can't be bothered to research properly...
