Ah yes Doc -

Your Bergan list is obviously from the decades AFTER "My" time -
You must have been issued with equipment to actually put into the Bergan :D

My last tour was with a Bergan holding a gallon of water - of the best
quality you could lay your hands on, of a good year and at a pleasant,
piquant temperature - radio - extra battery - belt of rounds - extra chukkhas
ration pack or bag ration if you could score one and a one meter square
hessian cloth for cammo and used as a sun filter......

On the belt I seem to recall four water bottles and four 'home made'
holsters for ammo slid into Bren magazines 'cos they held more....
surprise worthy oriental round counting gentlemen....

Weight is about right though - (picture coming if I ever soss 'how to' )

Thank you Doc :D

"IT" skills indeed - I have a CD which no longer speaks to anyone and
refuses to be copied....... ( a bit like me really ).....

Any road up - it was the use of a Bergan the thread was about....
best use in pic number two - lie on it......

Number one is watching the Dhala road - Recce Troop spread in pairs....
the three tonner is on the way back to Little Aden.....

Number two is near Muqra - a bit further to the West -

check out the jungle greens..... no shiny in the dark....
