Middy - you obviously don't have the first idea about 14 INT and what they do, do you?
This will definetly be my last post on this subject as I'm fed up of running into the same attitudes that sas/sbs are the be all and end all of SF forces...

from people (for the most part) with little or no military experience.
The fact remains that noone disagrees that women shouldn't be in the sas/sbs/rm/para. The point is that we (oakers, john/sandy etc) were trying to point out that women do indeed serve in a SF role for the UK forces.
Middy's post summed up the attitude to a tee "

Obviously not the first f*cking idea what they actually do. I would suggest that if middy actually meets someone from 14 Int he keeps his gob shut and thoughts like that to himself.
I fear though this will fall on deaf ears, there's just too many wannabe spotters out there who have read more books than me so know more about the subject than i can imagine - i was never sf but i have met loads of sf operatives, some v.good, some absolute wan*ers and some women-who all fell into the first catagory.
Right. This is absolutly the last post of mine on this subject - Oakers is right, it is getting boring

First of all woman shouldn't allowed into front line combat conditions.
Having been in bad places myself and going through the training I do not believe most, not all woman would be able to keep up when the going gets rough. As when you get in the shit its maximum agression, maximum movement, you do it and get the job done, and physically most woman aren't able to keep that standard of fitness, sorta like the Legion 'March or Die.' Seeing as how the majority of the troops will (and are) male there will be definate problems with the difference of sex living close together for along period of time, not even to touch upon the 'monthly.' Too many hygene products are required for woman, especially in the field, I'm assuming all of you lot have been camping before (real camping where you can't see the next site.) And troops deployed in special forces roles are in places where most other people wouldn't go without alot of support, with a high rate of getting screwed over as they are sitting in the middle of no where Iraq. Special forces don't always show up on POW lists and as you could imagine alot worse things can happen to women in such places the line for men in camps is generally, "At least they can't impregnate us."
Cheers.
