I believe that all this boils down to religion.
Extreme Islamism fundamentalists just do not like our way of life!
They resent the emancipation that women of the West have gained during the last 60 years.
Western women lie in the sun and get tanned because it promotes vitamin E development and thus the feel healthier and feel a sense of well being.
The exposure of facial skin in a female offends a Muslim. Islamic women cover themselves from head to toe (in accordance to the Koran [not]) and are thus fettered by their men folk. Emancipation of females is envisaged as a dire threat to their way of life.

They See money as an evil and America and its allies as evil and a dire threat to their religion.

Well fine, all this smacks of history repeating self when Constantinople fell to Islam and was assimilated into the Turkish Empire as Istanbul. We in the West are liberal in our ideas an outlook, as was Emperor Constantine whose empire (centred in Constantinople) still control our culture; he chose reconciliation when confronted with Extreme Islamism fundamentistisms. It let to the fall of the Holy Roman Empire!

The attack on the World Trade Centre in New York and Bali (an exotic isle where many of the Western Calendar girls are photographed) are not arbitrary they are an assault upon our culture; this is a jihad, a holy war.

Their plan is simple: STOP TRADE WITH THE WEST AND STOP TOURISM.
Israel shakes the corners of their religion. They have the same foundation (Abraham-Moses etc as do we) but believe that their religion takes precedence over all others because their profit (Mohamed) has preference because he was the last chosen by GOD. What terrifies them is the second coming of Christ which was predicted at the millennium and would in defacto make their religion void.

Theirs is a Holy War agaist us, of which I have no dout.

If as "Colours" (last time I called a C/Sgt that,I was asked,non too politely,if I thought he was a F@~*#$g rainbow)! asserts that Muslims revile money,why do so many of them run sub Post Offices,Newsagents & Corner shops (like Arkwright's ... open all hours) ... if not to make money ?

Unlike most other world religions,Muslim clerics are not "ordained or consecrated" ... & are therefore not subject to any higher authority,merely "elected" by members of the Mosque ... so if a local Imam wants to get a "bazzy" on with anyone,there's no one to stop him or rein him in ... as we Taxpayers found to our cost with Salman Rushdie !

They hate money so much,that in a recent case in London,a Muslim guy,asked members of his Mosque to "donate" towards buying a building (which he already owned but neglected to tell them) for use as a Muslim Cultural Centre & has now done a runner ... with their dosh ... having been "rewarded" by El Presidente,with a B.E.M. (I thought they hated our Empire ... seemingly,not sufficiently enough,to turn down a "Gong") !

Or the Met Police Traffic Warden,who baulked at wearing his regulation issue Cap Badge,because it was topped by a "Christian" symbol (cross on top of St Edward's Crown) ... but didn't mind spending his "filthy" wages,which bear an image of a Woman,wearing the same "Christian" symbol !

No,I think it goes much deeper than money or women ... & we haven't even begun to scratch the surface yet !

Kevin, you are absolutely correct, it's got bugger all to do with money or women. It's all down to pure evilness and a hatred of everyting western. A hatred that is drummed into them from childhood. I worked in Dubai for twenty years and believe me nobody loves money more than the arab moslem and he doesn't like parting with it either. Why do you thionk so many expats were seen off on their contracts. What about the first winner of the national lottery; he was a Pakistani moslem and I didn't hear him saying he couldn't keep the 17M he won. In fact he was never heard from again, probably living the life of Riley in some exotic part of the world.

Most of us have experienced life in a third world country. I find it relatively easy to understand the jealousy that most 3rd world peoples feel about the western way of life, and their desire to experience it for themselves. If it's so good why must we who enjoy it as a birthright be made to suffer as a consequence? The raging nutters, posing as religious leaders, who 'guide' these extremists are certifiable, and yet we continue to tolerate them in our midst, in London of all places. The Brixton mosque is a haven for many muslim fanatics, eg Richard Reid, the 'shoe bomber'; why hasn't Tone and Co closed the place? Too touchy feely to Act not Yak?
The argument is circular and creates an atmosphere of incoherence in most people trying to explain their feelings. There is no justifiable rationale behind murder as a means to a political end. I feel as much disdain for Christian churchmen as I do for Buddhist or Muslim religious leaders. I have no beliefs, I don't need what I see as a mental crutch. If only people were happy being who they are for the short time they are on this planet they might try and make a better fist of their lives, without resorting to hate and bigotry, to lower everybody to their level.
We are allowed by our laws and rules of life to be individuals, responsible for ourselves and, to a degree, responsible for the effect we have on others. I consider that Islam is a levelling religion/force. Nobody must stand out, apart from the Mullahs. The masses are easily led, and dare not speak out for fear of their lives. Where is the compassion in that?

Religion will always be with us. Christianity survived the depredations of Rome. Hitler never fully quashed the Jewish faith under his tyranny. So why is religion used as an excuse for violence; why is it not used for the good of humanity? If I could see or sense any achievement on an everyday basis I might relent and listen to the next bastard who chaps on my door at 0900 on a Sunday and offers me Gods version of the TV times. (other listings magazines are available). God Botherers who knock on my door get asked why they tolerate child molestation by priests of the main churches, and by members of the congregation (7th day adventists). They scurry off heads down, my questions unanswered.

Well where do I start???

The one thing that really gets up my nose is that "they" come over here but will not respect the rules of this country. ie You have to wear a crash helmet on a motor bike, not them they have thier turban.

But they bring with them all the bad bits of thier country ie arranged marrigages.

The one that really got through to me was when I went back home to Rotherham to sell my family home there in the Council Officers the notices are in English and Hindu.

Winds me up too, I saw an asian policeman wearing a turban and no 'tit' hat. They set their own rules in 'our' country. They hate the west so much they want to destroy us but only after the come over here and bleed us dry.
It was shown when Muslims or whatever religion went over to fight for the Taleban against 'our' troops. These are troops of their adopted country, its nothing short of treason. Id have shot them at the airport.

'Racist', what's in a name? I was once accused of being a 'Racist' by the Senior Malay pilot on our op in Sarawak, soon to be the Chief Pilot, in charge of us white types as well. He took umbrage at me pointing out that we were level at 3000 feet, 20 minutes had passed since take-off and the wheels were still down, nose-wheel locked etc etc.
"Captain Parry you are a Racist" he snarled.
"And what was your second point" Parry replied.
He had a cult following as well.

I've had to return to this and edit it as I realise again how much anger I felt at the time. Although I kept it concealed from the turkey. These people dare to challenge us by using language such as Racist, a charge which is difficult, given present circumstances, to repudiate. False accusations are easily made; they can destroy people's lives and careers. perhaps our legislators and law makers should give more credence to the accused over the accuser but where and how do you draw the line. It seems that all trust has broken down between 'Us' & 'Them'.

The problem is that "Racist" has taken over as the modern word to rubbish anyone who disagrees with the "party line" ... in religious terms it used to be "Heretic" ... if you proposed that the Earth was round,for example !

The same can be said of "Political Correctness" & those who push this cause are the most offended,when its pointed out to them that in Germany 60 or so years ago,it was "Politically Correct" to gas Jews.I've had some personal experience of being labelled a "Racist",because I said "NO" to an Asian man,who thought that his ethnic origin entitled him to preferential treatment.I refused & still do refuse to pander to these lunatics ... I firmly believe in treating everyone as "Equal" ... how can there be any logical basis for "Positive Discrimination" ? .. it defies all definitions !

What I totally fail to comprehend is that if you leave your own Country,to go & live in someone elses,that implies disaffection with your Homeland ... which caused you to want to move, so why import it wholesale to your new abode ?

An elderly relative of mine,always maintained that the "explosion" of Chinese Restaurants in the 50's was an attempt at "infiltration" ... perhaps he wasn't as daft as the rest of the family said !
Establish a foothold in a Country,via its soft "underbelly" & then take over,from the inside. I think we are now seeing something similar in action from the Muslim population in UK.
