The mouse that roared
The British Empire was still GREAT until war broke out with Germany in the Great War. While many of the Commenwealth Nations such as Canada, Australia and New Zealand were there own countries (not sure when the latter became there own countries) they were still inextricably bound (hah is that a word sounded right,) to Britain the people were British and infact when England went to war by law these other countries automatically declared war on Germany as well. At this point in time the UK was more powerful than the US which didn't emerge as a true world power until late WW1. And for the record we didn't need them yanks to beat the huns off it was already done Germany was starving for supplies and faced terrible economic strike at home. The German fleets were stuck in port for the majority of the war after Jutland.
If a man has nothing he is willing to die for then he isn't fit to live.
