Gutless Neighbour.

Post by Cronkilla »

Well yesterday after watching the remberance ceremony i heard screeching of tyres and looked outside and spotted a car in the road. Didnt think much to it because it was someone who lives on our street and is a 'boy racer'(its not unusuall for him to brake like a moron). He got out looked round his car stood for about 15 seconds quickly looked at my house then around other houses and shot off in his car quite fast. About 10 minutes later i got a knock on the door from a neighbour who was in tears. It turns out he had ran over my kitten and it wasnt pretty. I gathered a bucket and a bag and cleaned up the remains as best i could and washed the area down. Later in the day after breaking the news to my little sister and buried the cat i spotted said boy racer and quickly stuck on my trainers. Casually stolled over and asked if he had the time, then without any hint quickly proceeded to give him a beating. After a few minutes my friends spotted what i was doing and pulled me off.

I dont normally act this way but its the fact he didnt have the balls to come and say sorry for what he had done. Now im faced with the possibilitys of being charged with assault . Just makes me sick he would of happily gone about his daily business without saying a word. He knew for a fact it was our kitten because hes seen me with it a few times. If it was me who had run it over i would have told him. So was i wrong for what i did or was is justified?

Cronkilla, I`m not a great lover of cats, but nothing deserves to be treated like that, i think a quiet word in his shell like telling him if the boys in blue are informed, every time you see him he`s gonna get more, only each time its gonna get worse, let us know where you are, and i`ll defo come and give the little shyte another hammering.

I don't blame you mate. All he had to do was knock on your door and apologise and offer to buy a new kitten, which isn't very hard to do.

Have to say I agree with bootneck, and i do like cats, had a few run over myself, and there’s nothing worse than finding them in the road, like discarded rubbish...

Being an animal lover I’d also be more than willing to teach this lil ..... (incert apropriate word) a lesson...

Ive got a few cats and if anyone ran them over and didnt have the balls to apologise and at least inform me, id kick there head in. Im a dog man myself though. If someone killed my dog, id kill them, no doubt.

I say well done Cronkilla. I have to put up with boy racers neally every day.

Aye mate good on ya. If he threatens assault charge just ask him what the cops'll think of all his stunt driving lark. If he's not too bright (and he doesn't sound it) you can just fob him off and tell he'll get put away. Hope it doesn't come to that though.

Well this sounds like a matter that had to be taken into your own hands Cronkilla. I mean the police wont have any thing to do with it, so I guess you didn't have much choice....

I would have done the same thing if I was in your position.

Agree with the sentiments BUT:

A mate of mine had a similar prob a few years ago, two girls, aged 12ish messing about on land owned by council with shrubs adjacent to mates garden, said girls causing damage, mate chokes 'em off and they scarper only to return a short time later damaging shrubs. Mate tells them to 'move it' they didn't, mate then grabs one of the girls and ejects them from shrubs. He goes indoors, next thing police came up to mates house and charges mate with common assault, takes him to police station, next morning he was up in front of the magistrate and BOUND OVER TO KEEP THE PEACE FOR 9 MONTHS.

You just can't win.

Lew, i wouldn`t mind them if they shyte in someone else`s garden, but it always seems to be mine.

Spanners, this youth should know better, and deserves everything he gets, hopefully, he`ll soon get pished off with the good hidings, and appologise to cronkilla, and maybe even buy him a new cat, hey, he may even decide to move. But these young layabouts cannot be allowed to get away with things like this..nip it in the bud.

As I said I agree with the sentiments BN, and the twit needs to be brought to book for it, naming and shaming him in the local paper would have been appropriate. The perpetrator often gets away with 'murder' it is he/she who retaliates that pays the price

totally agree mate, it is usually the person who retaliates that gets the short end of the stick, but what else to do in this crazy world of ours? the courts certainly don`t dish out the maximum sentence, and usually after a few months they`re out, often seeking compensation off the person who was originally the victim.

Cronk, tell them that he threw the first punch, he did didn't he? after all, all you did was to go over and ask him if he did actually run the kitten over? as an upstanding member of society why would you hit someone first? at least thats how it always happens to me :P at least the end result hurt him a little that much he deserved

:(

It's a bit like a soccer match, say a defender is putting the elbow in from the start, keeps tapping the forwards ankles for 85 minutes, the striker has had enough he thumps the defender, the ref/linesmen know who is the perpetrator but who is sent off even under extreme provocation. No justice and something ought to be done about it...............legally!

Now being neither a lover nor hater of animals (can't see the point in domestic ones) you did the right thing. boy racers are a pest that should be eradicated.

Maybe if he had, had a chance of getting away with it I would have ALMOST been on his side but as he saw you looking at him just after he had done it and then got in his car and drove of. He deserves everything he gets.
