service pet names and stuff

Post by lostplanet »

Its late, i cant sleep and dont know if its been done before, but was thinking about the pet names and acronyms ive heard in the past and always wondered what "crabair "(apart from RAF)meant.
i now a few like "remf" and "modplod" and know there are plenty more.
i hope no one takes offence, but i thought it might be a grin to hear some of the colourful names and things that go about.
i would like to know any Royal Marine names cos my mate is royal and always calls me percy pongo
have fun

RAF police = snowdrop (because of their white hats) - i think they're refered to as "tossers" the rest of the time!
My wings are like a shield of steel... only they're made of kevlar!

Of course there was CRAP HAT for any one who could sport a decent colour beret. Then there was that lovely expression known as a candle
when some ones chute did not open. How many of you remember the Dear John song. When you had abroad for a couple years your mate would get a letter and his face would fall a mile and every one sang to him the song Dear John. Still every on kept an eye on him to make sure he was okay over the next couple weeks.
