Ok gash I give up! Both paras and marines are bloody good soldiers, best in the world at what they do. Rivalry is inevitable. Selection to both is very rigorous and basically I believe whoever passes one is capable of passing the other. It is just a matter of who you choose when you decide to join. Usually it is family, friends influence and what movies you watched! Nuff said!

soldier - i'm with you on that.

every now and again we get the 'whos got the hardest course - paras or marines' p*ssing contest - unfortunatly the people who start these topics don't understand that both courses require high levels of commitment, and as such recruits see their chosen service as the 'only one' worth joining, it has nothing to do with which one is physically harder but everything to do with how much commitment you have to your chosen regt/corps that will determine whether you pass or fail.

The hardest course in the British Armed forces is the chefs/cooks course.

No one has ever passed it!

Tutt, tutt, soldierandy thought you would know better, they aren't bullets, - rounds young man, rounds.

Anyone know the difference between a round and a bullet?

round = a unit of ammunition consisting of the parts necessary to fire one shot

bullet = projectile to be fired from a firearm
Would it depend on which end of said projectile one is on?
definatly, you can call it whatever you want dependent upon which end you are at :D

P000000F. That is Gods official number in the Marines. The 4 horsemen got in first, then the Devil. (God is not a queer chaps, just never gets in first)

He's always wanted to be P0000000A (well nobodys perfect!) He moans about it at the reunions but we just say "TOUGH, SH*T, IT'S YOUR ROUND!" Bloody typical for an omipotent diety!
