Welcome Adam C, I have a mate in RGJ 1 he just been posted to the lovely Iraq. I my self was aiming to join the Royal Marines, but lately I have been thinking and maybe the Royal Marines is not 4 me.
Before my mate went to Iraq he was trying to get me to join the RGJ, I might have to put more thought to joining RGJ.
Why have you chosen to join the RGJ ?

Hi Jason,
Well for one i have always wanted to be in the Army since i was a little boy ,(i knew how to strip down and clean a .303 Lee Enfield by the age of 7) My dad was in the TA attached to a regular Unit back in the 80's he was with the RCT, so i suppose it kind off rubbed of on me. As regards to the RGJ i remember watching a fly on the wall TV programme called "Soldiers to be" with mainly covered recruits training for the LI and RGJ and i just thought to myself i want to be a Green Jacket and have ever since. Strange thing is though with me wanting to be a soldier since i was little i never joined anything like the Cadets or TA.
Cheers for the warm welcome.
