Hello!

Post by sa78 »

Hey, so after many years of consideration and thought, I have decided the Intelligence Corps is right for me!
But before applying I see the best course action to take is getting fit.

I was able to run 1km in just over 6 minutes, I haven't done any real exercise in the past 2 years and was wondering if I have made a good start? Or there was anyone else similar at one point and could give me some tips. I weigh 61kg and I am 5ft 5in tall (running is my weakest by far)

Thanks and Hello all :)

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
If you "haven't done any real exercise in the past 2 years ", then your best course of action is to undertake a period of all-round fitness, such as joining a local gym and getting a programme from the instructor there.
Forcing yourself into a hard training programme from scratch is not a good idea.
Once you've got yourself going, perhaps after a couple of months, you could then focus more on what you'll need for military fitness.
Keep us posted on this thread about how you are getting along!
