Transferring to RAVC

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me or give me a little bit of advice. I am currently a member of the Royal Artillery and have been in the Army for 7 years now and I really want to transfer corps to the RAVC to become I dog handler, as I plan on working for the police doing this job when I do eventually sign off. Can someone tell me how to go about doing the transfer and do the RAVC take transfers? Should I contact the corps first to see if they have vacancies or will they still take my application of transfer. Any information from anyone on this matter would be very much appreciated
