Good day from The Colonies !

As a matter of introduction I am currently residing in Fort Myers, Florida. My military career started way back in 1965, when I enlisted in the U.S. Army. I served one tour in Viet Nam as a Radio Operator (1967-1968). I enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1973 as a Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator(Aircrew), and served in HS(75) and HSL(94) Helicopter Squadrons stationed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I was promoted to AWC(Chief Petty Officer) in 1990. I applied for, and received my commission as a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO3) in 1992. Ultimately I retired in June 2000.
One of the reasons I have joined this forum is an attempt to gather some information regarding my Great Great Grandfather, John Forrest. He apparently served with a Scottish Regiment prior to 1900. Any assistance would be appreciated.
