newbie mum

Post by jillybead »

Hi everyone, this is my first post,I,m hoping you can give me some advice.
My son is 18 and started his phase 1 infantry training at catterick 2 weeks
ago. He had a high score in his barb test and was recommended to take up
something other than infantry, which we wanted him to do also. My son said
he still wanted infantry and so that is where he is. He now feels he made
the wrong choice and wants to discharge and train for a higher skill, but they
are making it difficult for him to leave, what are his best options.

thanks for any help you can offer!

The Infantry is hard work and if his training goes well I think you will be pleased to see the changes that will happen to him. Now as a mum you will worried about him getting hurt, now the chances of this happening are very rare even in Afghanistan when you take into account the number that are out there, and yes it can happen. There again he could be knocked down by a drunk driver while walking home on the pavement, the chances are about the same.
