Re: Rifle Poll
I should think so.The Lee Enfield .303 carried the British and Commonwealth Armies through two World Wars, and on until the late 1950s.Came through all theatres of war with flying colours.Of course,in those days you had to be able to shoot, not just point and squirt.

Re: Rifle Poll
Hi
The Lee Enfield is a great sniper rifle even today and it was one of the best rifles from 1907, in the same class as the Mauser Gewehr 98/ Karabiner 98K and the Springfield M1903.
However today it is out classed in firepower. the 5.56mm is accurate to 500m and can be on automatic, this is key for CQB. The 5.56mm round is lighter so more can be carried which is very important in Afganistan.
i am going to get a beat down for this, but im going to stick to my guns

Re: Rifle Poll
I suppose it's the Lee Enfield

Re: Rifle Poll
The Enfield is still in operation in some countries, and it is still used in the far north of Canada were it wont freeze up

Re: Rifle Poll
I had to vote for the M416, being based on the highly modular m4/m16 which although very adaptable not too fond of it myself, but the HK remake is pretty awesome, Although one thing i like about the m416 is that if you buy the zombie killer upgrade you end up with one mean rifle.
(the zombie killer upgrade is a pack made in America, includes new barrel custom engraving and Magpul M.O.E stock, shroud and the tango down style pistol grip which is real comfortable, and a carbon fiber barrel in total the rifle is light as hell, but i think the zombie upgrade costs more than the rifle its self.

Re: Rifle Poll
Voted - AK ofc!
(might not be the most effective rifle of the bunch but it certainly has the most character and history!)
