I applied to the army last year but cancelled several fitness days due to the fact that it was coinciding with my college exams, I then let my application be withdrawn, however i still wish to join. I know i made a mistake as a 17 year old girl assuming i would be in training prior to the new academic year, and i know mistakes in this profession can mean life or death, literally, i am also willing to accept responsibilty for my mistakes during the first part of my application process. The thing that is bothering me though is will I still face the same chance as everyone else who is applying fresh?

I believe you should go into your recruiter and explain what happened etc, my recruiter is actually a very sound bloke and all they are trying to do is get you through the application process as quickly as possible. And yes you will be treated the same, at the end of the day the people who will be grading you at ADSC and so on will not hold anything against you as they grade mutliple people on a daily basis.. so dont worry and get your ass back in there if its your desired career path!!
