Weapons System Officer?

Hi, new on here so might seem a bit stupid

Is there still such thing as a Weapons System Officer? Vaguely remember looking at the careers page a while ago and noticing it but now that I want to apply its no longer there! So my question is can you you join up and become a commissioned Weapons System Operator?

Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) was removed from recruitment after the SDSR. This was due to the fact that most A/C would be single seated and that there were already enough WSO's in the backlog to fill places.

From what I believe, you can become a commissioned WSOp, however I stand to be corrected.

No you won't. They aren't commissioning any more WSOps in role for the foreseeable.
