What Happened?

Post by SeanA1 »

What happened to this section over the past year or so? This forum used to be jumping with new topics. Now its dead. Everyone lost the motivation/willingness to join the RAF as a Regiment Gunner? I myself am going for it later this year.

Iv been asking the same question about the rest of the forum. It seems that most regs have their own forums nowadays. But its so closely regulated by admins you can't even have a joke.....which you can on here. I for one appreciate the older....sorry....more experianced gents on here spinning us funny dits about times past.

Amphibian.......When I was young lad there was a million men under arms for this country and many of the now defunct Regiments had at least six Battalions, a tour of duty overseas was for three years, and you went by troopship which could take weeks. Then training took ten weeks now it takes six months so much for education.

I'm not a gent...
And there are probably some who might say I'm no lady either, but they'd get a swift kick in the Outer Hebrides!
Once I'm out I may spin some dits, but whilst I'm still serving I shan't.
Lot more to the RAF than pilots and gunners...
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.
