Dipped out on a medal- not long enough in theatre- whatever ?

A new open and transparent medals review has been promised after a year long struggle with an intransigent MoD, inept Ministers and clueless civil servants, who in the main. have never served in the Armed Forces.

The previous review was held in secret, much to the disgust of veterans who expressed their anger.

No meetings or oral evidence was taken from veterans. A six week paper exercise, (over the last Christmas period) was undertaken by the MoD based on flawed evidence.

The staff work was both shabby and risible.

It will now be revisited under an independent chairperson.
