Ive heard from several friends i have within the army that when they started at Catterick were given a sum of cash (which would eventually be taken out of there first wage packet) to help them through the first 5 weeks of training, can anyone confirm this?
Thanks.

Re: Cash Upon Starting Training?
True.. you're Lieutenant will give you cash in hand to buy some kit and food, can’t remember how much though I’m sure it’s a week’s wages that will be deducted from your pay at the end of the month.
