Can a life threatening brain injury occur without a direct blow to the head. For example, a car accident ? For instance, getting into a car accident without hitting your head I do believe can cause brain injury, but dont quite understand whether it can result in a fatal injury. Obviously, hitting your head at a very fast speed could result in fatal injury. However, it doesnt make sense to me how people sustain brain injuries when they dont hit their heads even though I know it can happen.
