I'm thinking of joining/trying to join the Para's after I complete my university course,so a good 2-3 years. Unfortunately last summer I was diagnosed with a form of Liver Cancer,after two operations (it can only be treated by having the tumors removed,no need for chemo etc) I am deemed medically fit,only treatment I now receive is a CT scan every 3 months to make sure nothing has popped back up.
Would having be diagnosed if the past rule me out entirely? even if I am physically fit for the training? or would I have to wait for the proper "all clear" before joining?

The Para's life style is pretty hard and I don't think that they would take you, but it would be best if you asked your local Recruiting Office
