PRMC

Post by bambers11 »

Hi Guys,

I am thinking of joining the Royal Marines when I finish my college course (Uniformed Public Services Level 3) in 2012. I am going away to Lympstone in March 2012 with the college for 5 days, I would just like some tips on how to prepare and pass my PRMC.. not the minimum standards, but results that will stand out. I am 16 (18 when I finish college), weigh around 65kg and I'm 6ft ish.

P.S

What are the basic minimum requirements for each assessment?

Many thanks, Sam.

rw1 got it spot on mate, give that site a good looking over and use the tools that are there. One thing I would say that I overlooked was training legs to a point where I can lift and carry someone of a similar weight up hills. I would suggest following the circuit routine, but adding a gym session. Squats, Leg press etc.

Best of Luck and if you need anything please PM me as I have recently completed PRMC. Also, just want to add that as far as I know, after summer they will be adding a night exercise after the endurance course. So id suggest if you are not used to sleeping outside in the dark, get a group of mates together and head off out for a weekend.
