You could always go into the army and learn a new trade? more qualifications
Definetly a good suggestion. The more trades the better for late in life. When i eventually finished my time in the RE i had 3 trades and a number of Adventure training qualifications at instructor level. There is certainly enough chances to better yourself and that would be the approach i would use. Pick another trade that you could maybe use hand in hand with plumbing. And always look to get the most out of the Army.
