Just asking, Would a British be able to transfer to one of the Australian Commando Regiments?. Its just that this regiment has only got more recognition last year an was thinking if it would be possible with Australia being of the Commonwealth.

Aussie commandos are SF down there, so you'd have to do their selection ect.

Autralian Commandos currently are in the form of 1 Commando Regt and 2 Commando Regt, they are not Marines like in UK, but were formed from the 4th Royal Australian Regiment (infantry.) They do wear the green beret. We also have an SAS Regiment and the Commando Regts support the SAS in counter terrorism functions.
As for transferring from UK to Australian Army, it has been done, but as has been suggested you need to apply through our Defence Force. Good luck.
