Do they ever x-ray your teeth during the enlistment?

No they don't do that during your enlistment. However, they do x-ray your teeth when you have your dental check up once you start basic training.

How come you want to know that?

My dentists mentioned something about my wisdom teeth last year. They said they were compressed but they said dont worry about it. Ive also got a damaged ligament in one of my front teeth. Neither cause me an grief. Whats the RM's stance on these things? Should I get them fixed?, will I need reports? Can they knock me back? Will they fix it after training? I know the Australian military fix everyone's teeth after training.

Well I've not been in the Marines or the Navy so can't give you a 100% answer. However, I'm reasonable certain that dental practises throughout the Forces are going to be pretty similar and in the Army they fixed up blokes teeth for them once they were in. Basically you got a dental exam when you first arrive and then if you need any work doing they send you an appointment.

You shouldn't get knocked back over your teeth unless its something really obvious/bad as in your initial medical they'll only take a quick look in your mouth and that's just the Dr not a dentist so if it only shows up on an x-ray I would think you'd not have problems joining up with it.

As I said, that's just an educated guess so take from it what you will.
